Abbey Nursery

We offer day care Monday to Friday, with lots of different options.

Abbey Nursery provides a happy, fun and stimulating environment for your child to grow and develop in a purpose built day nursery.

We are a purpose-built Day Nursery open (51 weeks of the year) and Pre-school open (38 weeks of the year), offering a range of activities and experiences to nurture your childs learning and development.

We work with the interests of your child, through play, in line with EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) development matters guidance. The EYFS curriculum, encourages learning through play and places emphasis on the way that your child is learning and developing. Our practitioners observe and record the childs Characteristics of Effective Learning (COEL) which are:

• Play and exploration.
• Active learning.
• Creating and thinking critically.

We work alongside our families to encourage your child to meet their developmental milestones socially, emotionally and physically and to be ‘school ready’ by the time they move to their Reception class in Primary school.

Children’s needs and interests are paramount to our care, learning and development. Our leadership team and practitioners are highly qualified in childcare, learning and development and our setting is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

We focus on each child’s individual needs to support their learning and development and offer:

• healthy meals and snacks
• highly qualified caring nursery practitioners

• a secure purpose-built outdoor play area with all-weather surfaces
